It’s time to stand, my brethren,
Lift up your swords and fight!
Join hands with one another
And live for what is right!
It’s time to stand, my brethren,
Lift up your swords and fight!
Join hands with one another
And live for what is right!
The fellowship of friendship
The laughter and the fun;
The moments in our life that make
The long race worth the run
The tales ran wild ‘round the roaring campfire.
After a long day of labor, the young men were tired.
Their wages in hard, they were happy – at ease.
They would soon return home to their families.
I’ve a story to share that will make you all laugh
Spoke up one of the youths with a sack on his lap.
You may wonder why a Christian has a heart of love;
And why, when giving time to others, they thank God above?
When I am weak, my spirit seeks for strength to stand.
I cry for help, but keep on failing in my plan.
Our steps are permanent.
Our actions cannot be undone.
They’re stamped in time’s concrete;
Sealed with evening’s setting sun.
When you know that the path of life before you
Is secure – that you cannot lose your way.
That you hold in your hands the Holy Bible,
That with time or circumstance will never sway.
2 Corinthians 3:2 – “Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men.”
I Corinthians 10:13: “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”
Who was the shelter we ran to in fear?
Who, with her gentle hands, comforted our tears?
Who was the teacher, who prepared us for life?
Who heard the conflicts, and calmed sibling strife?
James 1:23-25 – “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.”
Psalm 9:10 – “And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.”
I may never see tomorrow;
There’s no written guarantee,
And things that happened yesterday
Belong to history.
