“But godliness with contentment is great gain.” 1 Timothy 6:6
Here’s an interesting explanation of contentment for you to ponder this month:
“Contentment is wanting what you have.”
I’m not sure where I heard this little saying, but it has given me multitudes of good opportunities to ponder contentment throughout the day to day struggles and annoyances of life. Think about it this month! Do you want what you have? Are you thankful for what God has given you? Try it on for size during a tough moment in your day when you’re tempted to complain. Ouch! It’s convicting, isn’t it!?
“…for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.” Philippians 4:11
May we learn as the apostle Paul did, the godly habit of contentment.
