This article is a “shout out” to our all-American, Simple Green All-Purpose Cleaner. There are many cleaners made by Simple Green, from granite cleaner to laundry detergent! This article will focus on my go-to: the all-purpose cleaner.
I always have a favorite cleaner for each job and when in doubt I go all out with Simple Green. What I like most about this cleaner is its non-toxic. No harsh fumes! For someone who spends a lot of time with cleaners, this is especially important. The fact that Simple Green is among other things, non-flammable and biodegradable is just a plus. I never even considered the need for biodegradable cleaners until I met my friend Simple Green.
For those of you interested in pH levels, Simple Green is 9.5 on the pH scale. Number 7 pH is considered neutral (example Distilled Water) 14 pH most alkaline (household lye for example) and zero pH being most acidic (battery acid).
Simple Green is a staple for household use and also for garage use. I enjoy using Simple Green in bathrooms and in most cases I can use it on the floor and bath fixtures. It cuts through all average buildup with ease and leaves the fixtures shiny. For showers, I like to spray the walls down and leave it for several minutes while I clean other parts of the room before I scrub and rinse the cleaner off.
According to Simple Green’s website product applications include floors, walls, doors, counters, concrete, stainless steel, siding, driveways, walkways, buildings and grounds, stone & vinyl.Check out the Simple Green website at…

…for an amazing list of ratios to properly dilute the solution and where you can safely use their cleaners. As always, read manufactures’ labels on any cleaner and also on the material you wish to clean to be sure you won’t damage the material. Also, keep the area being cleaned well ventilated and wear gloves.
To find Simple Green in the average super market, you have to look in the little section of car cleaning supplies and fresheners. It’s sold concentrated in a spray bottle. Home Depot carries Simple Green in containers sized 32 oz. to 5 gallons! The 32 oz. concentrated for approximately $5.00 per bottle. Remember, this is concentrated; you can make it last a while!
Full of fun and passion, Emily invests her energy in her cleaning business (where she has learned so many of the great tips!) and in helping her family’s business. It was in her teen years that Emily surrendered her life to Christ, and she faithfully serves at Lehigh Valley Baptist Church. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, writing, gardening, and kayaking.

Do you know if Simple Green contains vinegar/acetic acid?
Thank you!
