Attitude 101
John C. Maxwell
Here is a great little 4×6 book that you could fit in your purse and pull out when you have a few moments. It is packed full of motivating ideas on mastering a great attitude. These Scriptural principles will help equip you with the right kind of attitude that will impact your life and the lives of others you come in contact with on a daily basis.
Here are a few excerpts from this wonderful little book:
P.6 People have a tendency to adopt the attitudes of those they spend time with.
P.6 Attitude is catching.
P.19 Many times we have been guilty of viewing our future challenges as the sunset of life rather than the sunrise of a bright new opportunity.
p. 20 Every opportunity has a difficulty and every difficulty has an opportunity.
p. 20 Adversity is prosperity to those who possess a great attitude.
P.43 Tomorrow we will become what we chose today. To change means to choose to change.
p. 50 The truth is that most people are more comfortable with old problems than new solutions.
p. 51 Too many times we settle into a set way of thinking and accept limitations that need not be placed upon us.
.p.53 Our thought life, not our circumstances, determine our happiness.
p. 54 Attitudes have a tendency to revert back to their original patterns if they are not carefully guarded and cultivated.
P.65 If you can step back from the negative circumstances you face in life, you will be able to discover that there are positive benefits to your negative experiences. That is almost always true; you simply have to be willing to look for them.
Remember that “The past is a dead issue, and we can’t gain momentum moving toward tomorrow if we are dragging the past behind us,” commented J. Hayford.
